Rooted in a grass paddock behind the 17th century farmhouse the majestic oak leaves experts pondering and enthusiast in awe of its size and natural beauty. The Bowthorpe Oak boasts the largest girth in the UK of a pedunclate oak (Latin Quercus robur) measuring a staggering 13.3m @1.5m.

This venue plays host to many events through-out the year and the grounds can be hired out for wedding receptions.

Bowthorpe Park Farm is a traditional mixed family farm with animals including sheep, goats, pigs, horses and pedigree Lincoln Red cattle, the animals can be seen while walking around the paddocks close to the tree.

Bowthorpe Park Farm opens weekends and bank holidays during the summer season (April – October).
