Council Services in Bourne
South Kesteven District Council are responsible for providing local services and facilities in Bourne and the surrounding area. Each household in Bourne must pay council tax to South Kesteven District Council to part fund the services and facilities they provide - this tax differs depending on the value of the property and the number of occupants (a 25% discount is given to single person households). Council Tax can be paid yearly in advance or monthly by direct debit. South Kesteven have their head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire and also provide services and facilities to the near-by towns of Stamford and Market Deeping.

Green Waste
As standard, South Kesteven District Council will provide a black wheeled bin for general household waste and a silver one for recycling (each collected on a biweekly basis). To dispose of green waste (soil, weeds, grass, etc.), a green wheeled bin can be purchased for additional fee of £26 plus delivery (in addition to a yearly collection fee of £35). Fortnightly collections are provided for green waste from March on wards. Please contact South Kesteven Council on 01476 40 60 80 to apply for one.
Bourne Household Waste Recyclng Centre
The Recycling Centre is owned by Lincolnshire County Council (who provide a variety of services through-out the county of Lincolnshire) and is operated by a third party contractor.
It is located towards the east of town on South Fen Road, which is off Cherry Holt Road (Postcode: PE10 0DN).
Opening hours are Friday to Sunday from 9.00am until 4.00pm.
Please note that restrictions do apply for the disposal of soil, which is limited to one dustbin load per vehicle per day.
