Bourne Woods

Business Description
Bourne Wood is a 400-acre area of beautiful ancient woodland situated on the outskirts of the town that was once part of the primeval forest of Brunswald.
The woods have a long square route that can be cut down into smaller routes via the many side paths and cut throughs. There are sign posts and benches enroute with lots of nature to be seen including birds, deer, frogs, and squirrels. There are also two large ponds in the woods which attract a variety of wildlife.
The woods are very popular with dog walkers, joggers, and cyclists, particularly during the warmer months. During the winter the woods can be very boggy and so it might be a good idea to wear wellington boots, particularly if going off the main routes.
Bourne Woods can be accessed via the A151 Colsterworth Road and from various entrance points on Beech Avenue (off West Road). It's also possible to access Bourne Woods via Cawthorpe village. There is a large car park and picnic area to the main entrance of the woods off the A151.
Please note that there are no toilet facilities or dog waste bins provided.
